5. Cookies and similar technology
Krutna uses first-party cookies and local storage for authentication, security, language and interface preferences, referral attribution, and public-card analytics. The k_vid cookie uses a random identifier to distinguish public-card visits and can remain for up to 395 days. The k_ref referral cookie can remain for up to 60 days. Authentication cookies last for the session or the period shown by your browser.
Krutna does not currently use third-party advertising cookies. See the Cookie Policy at /legals/cookie-policy for more information and browser controls.
6. Retention
We keep account and Service data while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service. When you complete account deletion, Krutna deletes or de-identifies data under its control, subject to data belonging to an organization, short-lived backups, security logs, fraud prevention, unresolved disputes, and records we must retain by law.
Retention periods vary by data type and purpose. Billing identifiers, webhook records, audit logs, and support records may be retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance. Paddle retains transaction and payment data under its own policies.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, credential hashing, restricted production access, monitoring, and backups. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting your account and devices.
8. International transfers
Krutna and its service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use an available lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards provided by our vendors, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual clauses.
